Meet Dr. Rachel Sinacola
Dr. Sinacola graduated from Michigan State University with degrees in Human Biology and Microbiology. She attended the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, earning a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and a Master of Science in Clinical Research. She continued her education at the University of Michigan for her Periodontics specialty certification and a Master of Science in Periodontics.
Dr. Sinacola has authored several publications related to Periodontology and Implantology and has presented her research nationally. Her achievements have been recognized with awards such as the Billy A Smith Patient Care Award, Zann Scholarship for Excellence in Periodontics, American Academy of Periodontology Dental Student Award, American Association of Women Dentists Colgate Research Award, and she was a Balint Orban Memorial Program finalist.
She is a member of the Oakland County Dental Society, Michigan Periodontal Association, Michigan Dental Association, American Dental Association , and serves as a committee member in the American Academy of Periodontology. Dr. Sinacola volunteers at the University of Michigan, teaching dental students the importance of making evidence-based decisions during patient care.
Dr. Sinacola and her husband are Michigan Natives and enjoy spending time with family and friends, going “up North”, and watching football. She also enjoys cooking and playing the piano.
